Any hope of earning a fishing reputation disappeared after the first four casts from the sandbar into the clear, fast flowing Aniak River. I got rocketing silver on each time.

Doc and Dave returned to Hook-M-Up 7 years after their last adventure. They had high expectations. Dave & Doc arrived in Aniak from Missouri on Sunday afternoon. They flew in on Frontier Flying Service.
The first thing they asked me was: “Are the fish biting” Are they even here?” I answered them, “We’ll have to see.”
At Hook-M-Up Fishing Adventures we have many people who come to fish and visit in the summertime. Many of them get to see some of the wildlife in the area. It is hard to come out for 4 to 7 days and see it all.
We are very lucky in this new millennium to be able to live on a homestead in the "last frontier." We live on a 130 acre island that is 2 miles outside of the village of Aniak, Alaska. We still generate our own electricity and grow our own garden.
Fish Adventure Pudge Kleinkauf of Alaska's "Women's Flyfishing" has been fishing with Hook-M-Up Fishing Adventures for the past two years and has had great success fishing for Silver Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Pudge talked to Woody about fishing for Sheefish the following season. She said she had tried fishing for them before, but had not done well. She wanted to try again. Knowing that the region Hook-M-Up fishes has one of the best Sheefish rivers in the whole state of Alaska, Pudge thought of the idea to advertise it on her web site as, "She after Shee."
